My Work

Translation | English <-> Japanese

Fashion Transparency Index 2020

My client's goal for the project was a publication of "FASHION TRANSPARENCY INDEX 2020 EDITION", which is written in English, and in Japanese. I played a role to translate this international report on pages 7 to 16 and proofread others’ translations from English to Japanese. This project was smoothly conducted through all processes from translation to proofreading within a month due to time management and our teamwork.

A few key points to notice:
- The copy frames on diligent research to understand the case background and status quo in the fashion industry.
- The copy is easily comprehensible for both people in the fashion industry and the young generation to be targeted in this campaign.
- The copy stayed focused on clarity and accuracy and also description to stimulate the inquisitive mind.

Graphic Design

Flyer: Hiroshima Future Party 2018 (JP)

The organizer aimed to gather participants for the 20th-anniversary event. I joined in the event to have designed a flyer and other materials with Adobe Illustrator, and have arranged them for printing.

A few key points to notice:
- The flyer expressed a wonderful future in the Non-Profit field, which is created by several sectors such as the government, business and local people.
- The design was based on conscientious communication with the client.
- I also designed a poster, a signboard and their chronological table for the event with a feeling of unification.

Booklet: 未来につなげるSDGsとビジネス (JP)

Title: The Engagement for SDGs by the Local Companies in Hiroshima

My client, the Hiroshima prefectural government, aimed to publish a brochure to disseminate local businesses for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the project. I acted as a graphic designer, designed formats, created data with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and arranged for printing. It could meet a deadline due to my experienced skills in spite of the late submission of a manuscript.

A few key points to notice:
- The booklet was designed to be simple and recognizable for middle-aged people who are the main target in this project.
- The booklet has visualized the balance between rigid culture in a local government and the friendliness demanded.
- The process was perfectly implemented by my scheduling, preparation and communication with the people involved.

- I worked on the sequel the following year in 2019. https://hiroshimaforpeace.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/sdgsbook2_1210.pdf
